This instrument has Indian Rosewood for the back and sides, which gives are classic creamy rich tone. The European spurce top is a little darker in tone and less punchy than Sitka.
This instrument has 21-strings, 7 basses, 6 guitar and 8 super trebles, giving this instrument 5 full octaves. This harp guitar is based on John Doan's original 20-string harp guitar that was designed by Jeffrey Elliott and John Sullivan (2007d). Sullivan built John's instrument in 1986.The tuning depends on the musician but as standard from low to high it has a range of five octaves...
